Mamma Vendetta was born free, free of concepts or directions, only the idea of putting together great music and all kinds of artistic manifestos! Mamma Vendetta is much more than a Booking Agency, its a true Community, it steps out of the ghetto to show the world variety and attitude in art forms, taking the independed music world to a totally different level. The Vendetta Family started 2009 bringing together some of the most fabulous exciting artists around: music, Pictures, Cinema, Poetry and MORE, with two Teachers taking care of the hard mission of spreading around the beautiful message of exposing yourself when the subject is ART. Alessandra Maestro & Marco Butcher drive the enterprise between artists and clubs, galleries and rooms that could fit the expos and shows to be presented! Trying to make sure that art wont die at the hands of the vampiric businessmen that suck the artistic values straight to the tubes, turning something that is supposed to be pure into cheap blood money to fix holes in their own old suits! Mamma vendetta is about music for the music lovers, it's about cinema for the cinema lovers and it's about the truth for the truth lovers, the ones who ain´t afraid of the new, the ones who ain’t afraid of the thrills, and for the ones who have an open mind, free of the bullshit routine that feeds us with all the same old songs about tradition. There´s no such thing in arts. We believe that art is 100% movement and because of this there´s no room for traditional values, it's quite impossible to cage time or any kind of self expression! The True art is always there but always changing…

THE UNCLE BUTCHER AND HIS ONEMAN BAND

This band is about Uncle Butcher trying to translate the blues in his own style. The primitive music has been around for decades and now Down South brings the spirit and the rawness of that thing. Some people think the blues music is kind of dead, but the thing is: the Blues Music keeps itself away from the spotlight. With the base drum and a slide guitar Uncle Butcher plays his own music like a wild preacher screaming and singing loud and proud. In the past, the old society used to be scared of the Blues singers just because they sang about whiskey, prostitutes and the Devil. Now it is time to change your mind and figure out about the congregation thing and the Gospel Yeah Yeah Sound because thats why the Blues Music is so important. That primitive kind of art can provide you lots of fun and happiness, so what are you waiting for? Lets put our rocking shoes on and dance for hours and hours, time to get up and go down, because the Uncle Butcher is back in town.
